Ten days after Sarah Palin announced she was quitting as Alaska’s Governor, a new CBS poll shows that the public takes a dim view of her chances for the White House.
The numbers show that Sarah Palin has a lot of work to do if she wants to run for president.
This CBS national survey shows that 22 percent believe the governor has the ability to be an effective president, while 62 percent say she doesn’t.
The Republican figures are grim. Fifty-one percent of Republicans believe she does not have White House talent; only 33 percent say yes.
The news media takes it on the chin in this survey. Forty-six percent think the media has been tougher on Palin than other politicians. Sixty-six percent of Republicans feel the media has been unfair.
Palin leaves office at the end of the month.
