Auto insurance changes coincide with rate hikes

Regarding Gov. Jim Doyle’s new auto insurance requirements for Wisconsin, Kimberly Shaul, deputy commissioner of the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance, was quoted in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel last September as saying that those who already had insurance who met the new standards would not be affected. Ken Muth, a spokesman for American Family Insurance, stated the same thing.
