Cherry Festival Traverse City : Cherry Festival’s stage will be jamming

TRAVERSE CITY — The music at this year’s National Cherry Festival will be jamming — from the familiar favorites of 1964 The Tribute to the blues-y guitar of Tommy Castro and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Gregg Rolie.

The big Traverse City festival runs from Saturday, July 3, through Saturday, July 10, with nightly concerts at the Bay Side Music Stage. The week opens with Los Lonely Boys performing on Saturday, July 3. Rolie, a founding member of the bands Santana and Journey, takes the stage with his Gregg Rolie Band on Sunday, July 4. He was inducted into the hall of fame in 1998 with Santana. He plans to play a lot of the music from the first several Santana albums during the festival concert.
