compartment syndrome
Officials in McMinnville are baffled as to what could have caused the players to come down with soreness and swelling in their triceps and high levels of creatine kinase, which is a protein that can harm the kidneys.
The players from McMinnville High School were all taken to a local hospital, where doctors operated on three to relieve swelling. Ten students have since been sent home.
