County DA files deceptive practices suit against Toyota
Category Autos | Saturday, March 13th, 2010The district attorney of a large conservative county in California has filed a lawsuit against Toyota alleging that the automaker knowingly sold thousands of cars knowing they had the potential for unwanted acceleration.
A new Toyota truck sits on the sales lot at Superior Toyota of Oakland February 25, 2009 in Oakland, California. The world’s largest automaker announced November 25, 2009 that it would replace the accelerator pedal in 3.8 million recalled vehicles after five deaths and two hundred incidents of unintended acceleration were documented.
