Indian rupee finally gets a new symbol! This would free India of its abbreviations ‘Re’ or ‘Rs’, which are also used by neighbours Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal. IIT post-graduate Uday kumar’s entry has been selected as the new symbol for the Indian Rupee.
