Dream trip for young musicians may be hit by British Airways strike
Category Finance | Sunday, March 14th, 2010Eighty members of a youth wind band face an anxious wait to find out if the British Airways strike will end their hopes of a “dream concert” in New York.
The players from the Cardiff County and Vale of Glamorgan’s Music Service’s Youth Wind Band have each raised £1,000 to fund their trip and accommodation.
They are due to play at the famous Carnegie Hall, in Manhattan, as part of the New York wind band festival.
