An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.5 struck off the California coast today and was felt in San Francisco.
The earthquake struck at 2.29 p.m. and was centered about 3 miles north-northwest of Pacifica, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The location was 9 miles southwest of San Francisco City Hall.
The earthquake had a depth of 4.2 miles, according to the USGS.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said they have not received any reports of damage.
