COLUMBUS, Ohio — An Ohio State University employee opened fire Tuesday at a campus maintenance building, killing a co-worker and wounding another, the university said. A suspect also was wounded and was taken into custody, officials said.
No students at the university, the nation’s largest, were injured, and classes were held as scheduled.
The shooting was first reported at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, university Police Chief Paul Denton said at a news conference. The two wounded workers were taken to Ohio State University Medical Center, where one was in critical condition and the other was in stable condition, he said.
