Feline Pride Recalls Chicken Formula Cat Food
Due to concerns of salmonella contamination, Feline Pride’s of Buffalo, N.Y., has issued a voluntary nationwide recall for its natural chicken formula raw food for cats and kittens, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The recalled product, which was produced on June 10, was packaged in 2.5-pound un-coded plastic containers and sold frozen to private consumers nationwide. Once thawed, the pet food has a shelf life of about one week. The company said the recall only affects orders placed and shipped from June 10 through June 17.
