Have an Easter eggs-travaganza
Category Sci/Tech | Wednesday, March 24th, 2010It’s that time of year to start thinking about Easter eggs. How many times have you made hard-boiled eggs only to find a really ugly green ring around the yolks when you went to eat them?
The problem is caused by boiling rather than gently cooking the eggs. The way to achieve perfect hard-cooked eggs is so simple — do not boil. Heat eggs in cold water just until the water starts to bubble. Then, cover, remove from heat and allow to sit in the hot water. Later, cool down and peel. Using this method will create perfect-looking, perfect-tasting eggs every time (see the recipe below).
