IRS offers tax credits to help beat the heat

The Internal Revenue Service has some tax credits to help families this summer. One deals with home energy efficiency while the other helps working parents.

With the summer heat, some homeowners are looking for ways to stay cool without spending a lot of green. The IRS has two tax credits: the Residential Energy Property Credit and the Residential Energy Efficiency Property Credit, both aimed at making homes more energy friendly.
