Japanese Car Makers Looking To Small, Low-cost Cars In China
Category Autos | Saturday, April 24th, 2010BEIJING (Dow Jones)–Major Japanese car makers are looking to small and low-cost cars for China to catch up with local rivals who are enjoying solid sales growth with such models in small cities in the country’s inland regions.
Japan’s top two car makers by volume, Toyota Motor Corp. (7203.TO, TM) and Honda Motor Co. (7267.TO, HMC), posted a vehicle sales increases of 21% and 23% respectively in China in 2009.
