It’s the one bout that everybody who loves boxing wants to see and we’ve been teased with it, but for one reason or another, mainly demands from both camps, it’s not yet come about.
Meanwhile while the standoff continues boxing continues to lose its reputation. As Jeffrey Kayer on the Bleacher Report puts it, “The two will go on to fight other second rate opponents while running the risk of losing and possibly killing any chance of their fight happening in the future.” Take a look over at UFC though, increasing in popularity all the time and if boxing as it stands continues then there’s a real danger that UFC could push it aside sooner or later.
