McDonald’s same-store sales rise 4.8%, topping estimates
Category Business | Monday, March 8th, 2010NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Fast-food giant McDonald’s Corp. said Monday that comparable sales for February rose 4.8%, topping Wall Street expectations, helped by demand from China to France.
McDonald’s /quotes/comstock/13*!mcd/quotes/nls/mcd (MCD 64.98, +1.31, +2.06%) , had been expected to see gains of 2.1%, according to the average estimate of two analysts surveyed by FactSet. Systemwide sales rose by 11.2%, or by 6.4% if the impact of currency translations is excluded.
