Carl Edwards was parked by NASCAR for the end of the Kobalt Tools 500 after hitting Brad Keselowski, which sent the No. 12 airborne and flipped the car. On Tuesday, NASCAR announced Edwards also will be placed on probation for the next three Sprint Cup races.
“We made it very clear to the driver of the No. 99 that this was unacceptable,” Helton said. He added that he made it clear to Edwards that Sunday’s actions went beyond what NASCAR intended to allow via it’s new hands-off policy announced in February.
