She was an ordinary girl from the Russian provincial town of Ryazan. She studied the violin and then choral conducting at the institute of culture. She wanted to become a music teacher and she never even thought about another fate. But destiny had something else for her. It gave her a strong and beautiful voice, and with that came a passion for opera. Meet Ekaterina Shcherbachenko – the Bolshoi Theatre soloist.
