Ottawa area earthquake shakes Bay City, Great Lakes Bay Region

According to the U.S. Geological Survey website, a magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck at 1:42 p.m. in the Ontario-Quebec border region of Canada.A magnitude 5.5 earthquake can be felt from 300 miles, according to the USDS website.
Shortly after, offices buildings in downtown Bay City shook, including the Phoenix Building.
