RIM Said to Plan Crusher Tank Technology for Tablet Computer (Video)

The tablet will run on software developed by QNX Software Systems, which RIM bought in April from Harman International Industries Inc. for $200 million. RIM introduces the tablet, set to be called BlackPad (think BlackBerry), as similar devices are filling the gap between smartphones and laptops.
RIM Ltd. is looking to technology used in BMW audio systems and the Army’s Crusher tank to distinguish its new tablet computer from Apple’s iPad.
