Buster Posey was not the everyday catcher, Pablo Sandoval was not hitting like his 2009 self and Madison Bumgarner was not even here.
With all that changed, the Giants are trying to write a new history for the rest of the season, and Monday night’s 5-2 victory at Dodger Stadium is a story they hope to retell.
