So even though it looks like umbrella weather might dampen your symptoms, don’t hold back: We’ve got you covered. And don’t forget, when we spring forward early Sunday, you lose an hour of Metro service, so plan accordingly.

First, mountains of residue from Snowpocalypse covered the RFK Stadium grounds; now Saturday’s forecast calls for buckets of rain. But the Shamrock Fest is a St. Patrick’s Day tradition, which means revelers are usually willing to brave the elements (we’re looking at you, Keg-and-Eggers) in order to have a good time. This year’s bill is up to 40 bands, including Celtic rockers Black 47, Enter the Haggis, Scythian, Donegal X-Press and headliners the Roots. But aside from the Irish pub area, the bagpipers and the Irish dancers, this is more a giant outdoor party with Dewey-style cover bands than a celebration of Gaelicness.
