JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Generations of children have had the opportunity to send their wish lists directly to the North Pole for Santa’s perusal.
Unfortunately, in these tough times the Post Office is looking for ways to save money, and snail mail will no longer work for Christmas wish lists.
The Post Office has announced it is canceling its program in North Pole, Alaska, wherein elves reply to wish lists.
But all is not lost! Santa has modernized, so you can text him your wish list.
“Santa im nice 4evr pony plz 143 gtg”
AT&T customers just need to text SANTA to 1224 to start chatting with the big man in red.
He’ll want you to send him your wish list, and as a special treat for customers, the texts won’t cost anything.
“If you think Santa and the elves are fast at making toys, you should see them texting! It was clearly the season to go digital,” said Gretchen Schultz, North Pole representative for Santa Claus. “We wanted to give children out there more ways than ever to send Santa their wish-lists.”
