Category U.S. | Tuesday, July 20th, 2010The Senate will vote on a bill to extend federal unemployment benefits today around 2:30 p.m.Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will invoke cloture on the bill to extend federal unemployment benefits. Goodwin is expected to provide the 60th vote needed to finally advance the bill.The Senate must take one more vote on the bill after cloture. Because the bill is slightly different than the one passed by the House of Representatives, it will return to the House for another vote. And then the bill will go to President Barack Obama for his signature, as soon as tomorrow.
