Category Featured, U.S. | Saturday, March 13th, 2010USCIS has informed that H1B petitions will start to be accepted from April 1st for the fiscal year of 2011. 65,000 applications will be entertained, a statement form USCIS said.
“Cases will be considered accepted on the date that it takes possession of a properly filed petition with the correct fee; not the date that the petition is postmarked,” the statement also revealed.
In case the petitioners will be working at areas of higher education or affiliated non-profit entities, they will be exempt from the annual cap. H-1B employment program is generally used by US companies in need of foreign employees having knowledge and expertise in specialized fields.
