It’s called The Return because Elena comes home to realize the nightmare-ish situation with Uncle John and Jeremy. This is going to be quite a dramatic episode – especially with how we were left hanging at the finale. The usual suspects wait at the hospital to hear news on the fate of Caroline post-car accident. Will she return? Yet another episode name reference is in the arrival of Tyler’s uncle, Mason, in order to help the family try to be whole again. And yet another return – that’s right – for this one is in the form of Katherine – she’s baaaaack! Obviously, Stefan and Damon desperately want answers: why is she here? what does she want? is it safe for everyone else? Who’s return are you most excited for?
