“The US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada have recalled 41,000 worldwide units of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc.’s Satellite T-series notebook computers, according to a press release. The recall stems from the notebook’s plug-in to the AC adapter, which could overheat and become a burn risk. 129 reports of overheating have been received so far, including two reports of minor burn injuries and two reports of minor property damage; the burn injuries did not require medical attention. The notebooks were sold from August 2009 to August 2010 at electronics retailers throughout the US and online, and cost between $600 to $800.
