Mount Everest is situated between the border of Nepal and China (or more accurately, it is situated in Nepal)and it is considered the highest mountain peak of the world that is approximately 8850 meters tall. The second largest mountain is K-2 (official name is Goodwin Austin). It is situated in Pakistan and it owns a height of 8614 meters. Mount Everest is a part of a long mountain-series known as “Himalaya” while K-2 is part of another series named “Karakoram”.
